Description

Typical letter distortion seen on the tops of the letters in UNITED STATES OF with slight extension seen on the left top corner of the F in OF. Also noted is the ramped extra thickness on some letters. The offset direction is estimated to be 330º. An earlier die state may reveal trial lines. DIE MARKERS : Stage “C”, obverse is LDS – light die scratching, from the northeast to the south west, through LIBERTY, the eye socket and in from to Lincoln’s nose. Reverse is LDS – A die gouge is seen on top of bay 3. This die was found by Joshua Haynes of Alabama
