Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA nice spread toward the center shows on STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, ELLO of MONTICELLO and the right side of the building with spreads increasing from left to right.  A very close spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM. Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is a doubled die listed as 1971-S Pr 5c WDDO-023. Reverse: Small die gouge below second O of MONTICELLO; short diagonal die gouge to lower left of small left semi-circular arch below dome.
