Description

Class II + V, Distorted and Pivoted Hub Doubling     "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesA tripled CW spread from a pivot near the rim at approximately 1 o’clock shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS and MONTICELLO.  A strong tripled spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM and both sides of the building.

Die Markers

• Obverse: Short, vertical die gouge to right of upper portion of second T of TRUST; small die gouge inside lower half of R of TRUST.
• Reverse: Die gouge (dot) in field south of first U of PLURIBUS; small die gouge (dot) below I of FIVE.
