Description
A class II spread shows toward the center on USA, FG, and ONE cent with the strongest spread on ONE CENT. Die Markers: Obverse: Strong die gouge south from hair just left of the back of the neck. Strong vertical die gouge in front of the neck. Die gouge (dot) below left side of horizontal bar of 4. Reverse: Die scratch from lower right A to lower left E in STATES. Die gouge (dot) to right of upper T in CENT. Die gouge (dot) touching the center left outside of O in ONE. Horizontal die scratch through upper ninth and tenth bays. Strong short die gouge midway between lower right second A in AMERICA and bottom of the last memorial column. Strong die gouge between upper ER in AMERICA. Obverse:
