Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA tripling spread toward the center shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and FIVE CENTS. A very close doubled spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM. All spreads increase from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Short die gouge from upper right tip of Y of LIBERTY to rim. Reverse: Die gouge inside lower portion of O of OF; die gouge (dot) just to lower left of third column.
