1963 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-051

Description

Class II + V, Distorted and Pivoted Hub DoublingA very nice spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM decreasing from left to right.  Doubling also shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE, MON of MONTICELLO and the left side of the building where it is also spread slightly CCW from a pivot at approximately 2 o’clock. Die Markers: Obverse: SW-NE diagonal die scratch to right of nostril. Reverse: Die gouge to right of D of UNITED; vertical die gouge midway up left side of first column; die gouge to lower left of first column.
