Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA very strong spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM with a lesser spread on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS, MON of MONTICELLO and both sides of the building.  All spreads decrease slightly from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Small die gouge (dot) between I of IN and bottom front of coat. Reverse: Die gouge (dot) to upper left of first U of PLURIBUS.
