Description
The 1958 Lincoln Wheat Cent - Doubled Die Obverse is a cent produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Lincoln Wheat Cents 1909-1958 series. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right, the first real person depicted on a U.S. circulating coin and the reverse displays two wheat stalks framing ONE CENT, symbolizing American agriculture. The final year of the Wheat Cent reverse before the Lincoln Memorial design replaced it in 1959. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792.
