Description

A close spread toward the center shows on ONE DIME and very weak on RICA of AMERICA. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Type I. Die gouge (dot) between the head and rim at 11:45. Obverse Stage B: Die gouge still present. Two short die scratches west from the eye. Reverse Stage A: Trumpet tail mintmark. Depressed gouge NNE/SSW through the E of AMERICA. Die depression NNE/SSW between the right leg of the R in AMERICA and the right upper oak leaf. E/W die depression centered between the NUM of UNUM. Two light die scratches east from the inside of the C in AMERICA. Several mostly N/S die scratches between PLU of PLURIBUS and the upper olive. Reverse Stage B: Die scratches at the C in AMERICA are gone. All other gouges and scratches are weaker. Obverse Stage A:
