Description
A CW spread from a pivot at 11:00 shows on ONE DIME and E PLU of EPU. A spread toward the center shows on the right oak leaves, OF AMERICA UNUM, and close on UNITED. Die Markers: Obverse: Type I. NW/SE die scratches in the area of the designer's initials and the 1 in the date. WNW die scratch from the top of the right upright of the U in TRUST. Reverse: Trumpet tail mintmark. Several strong NNE/SSW die scratches through and to the left of the mintmark. Die crack through the top of the first S of STATES. Two short die scratches ENE from the lower area of the second A of AMERICA. Obverse:
