Description

Obverse Stage B: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Trumpet Tail Mintmark. Circular die gouge runs from the first T of TRUST to the bust. Die scratches at the 6 of the date notably; a scratch at the left side of the 6 in date running north ending in the field above. Die scratch starting inside the 6 in date running north and ending in the field above. Obverse Stage B: Die chip in nostril. Obverse Stage C: The field along the edge of the die and up to the rim is becoming very rough. Reverse Stage A: Much of the reverse shows die scratches; notably a die scratch running south passing through the O of ONE continuing south passing the right side and edge of the lower C of CENT ending between the upper IT of UNITED. Die scratch inside the O in OF running south through the left wheat stem. Two die scratches show on the left side of the T of CENT forming an X on the top left arm of the second T of STATES passing between the A and second T of STATES with one scratch ending at the top right edge of the C and the second scratch ending to the left of the last A of AMERICA. Reverse Stage B: All Stage A markers are faint to no longer visible. Fine N/S die scratches show on the edge of the bottom leg of the E of ONE. Die gouge on the top of the S of PLURIBUS. Reverse Stage C: Die gouge on the S of PLURIBUS flattens out. Fine die scratches show at the top left of the bar of the T of CENT. Obverse Stage A:
