Description

S/S/S West & West Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Sans Serif Mintmark. Long north by west die scratch from the upper center of the 9 in the date. N/S die scratches in the field below the S in TRUST. NE/SW die scratch between the I and N of IN. Obverse Stage B: Die scratches below TRUST are abraded away. Die scratch from the 9 is very weak. Die scratch at IN is weak. Die chip below the D of the designer’s initials. Reverse Stage A: Inner and outer die scratches running south by west from the upper inside of the C in CENT. N/S and N by E/S/by W die scratches at the RIC in AMERICA. Reverse Stage B: All die scratches abraded away except for the inner scratch at the C in CENT. Obverse Stage A:
