Description
Obverse Stage B: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Trumpet Tail Mintmark. Nearly horizontal die scratch on the lower forehead to the left of the eye. Die scratch SSE from between the bottoms of the R and T in LIBERTY. Die scratches run NNW from the upper shoulder. Obverse Stage B: Die scratch at the top of the 1 running north ending in the field above. Light die scratch shows from the top of the 9 running NW. Die scratches running north above the Y of LIBERTY. Two die scratches forming a V between the R & T of LIBERTY running south ending in the field below. Obverse Stage C: Small die scratch shows on the bottom left leg of the N of IN. Reverse Stage A: First Reverse. None noted. Reverse Stage B: First Reverse. Two die scratches running north from the top of the O of ONE. Washed out IT of UNITED; as well as the top of the F in OF. Reverse Stage C: Second Reverse. Multiple die scratches are seen running south from the bottom of the N of CENT; notably, one die scratch runs south through the first S of STATES continuing to and through the E of AMERICA ending in the field below.
