Description

D/D Tilted (Rotated)Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Die clash remnants in front of the mouth. Many NE/SW die scratches on the forehead. Short, thin N/S die scratches on the nose. E/W and NE/SW die scratches on the neck. N/S die scratch at the back of the neck. Weak NE/SW die scratch above the hair at the front of the head. Die gouge below the lower left corner of the T in LIBERTY. Die gouge to the right of the top of the 9 in the date. Die gouge in the upper opening of the 6 in the date. Obverse Stage B: Stage A die clash, N/S scratch at the back of neck, and stronger NE/SW die scratches on the forehead still present. All other Stage A markers abraded away. N/S die crack through the hair at the top of the head. Strong N/S die scratches on the nose. Strong N/S die scratch in front of the mouth. Weak N/S and NE/SW die scratches in the field in front of the face. Die gouge in the field near the throat. Reverse Stage A: Some thin E/W die scratches in the fields. Strong concentric die scratch near the rim below the ON in ONE. NW/SE die scratch on the rim above the last S in STATES. Die scratch connects the tops of the ME in DIME. Strong E/W die scratch over the lower part of the E in DIME. Die scratch extends NE from the upper right corner of the M in UNUM. Reverse Stage B: Stage A die scratch on rim at STATES and scratch on E in DIME still present. All other Stage A markers abraded away. Die clash remnants through the left side of the olive branch and the upper right oak leaf. E/W die scratches left of the flame. N/S die scratches left of the upper olive and between the PLU in PLURIBUS and the O in ONE. NW/SE die scratches between the flame and the upper oak leaf. N/S die scratches between the lower right oak leaf cluster and the single right oak leaf. Crisscrossing die scratches between the M in UNUM and the last A in AMERICA. Thin N/S die scratches between the upper torch and the oak leaves. NW/SE die scratches on the olive leaf cluster overlapping the torch. Die gouge above the E in STATES.
