Description

Obverse Stage B: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Multiple die scratches running north from the lower bust through the 9 ending in the field in front of the top of the nose. North south die scratches running from the lower back of Lincoln’s bust through the ERTY of LIBERTY ending below IN and GO of GOD. Die gouge inside the U of TRUST. Die scratch running west from under the bottom lip ending. Two small die scratches in the eye pocket, one short die scratch running east from the right side of the eye lid tip and a second short die scratch under the eye lid running southeast. Obverse Stage B: Die scratches in eye pocket are gone. Reverse Stage A: Two die scratches one just under and another to the right of the E of ONE ending at the top of the right wheat stalk. Die scratch at the base of the first A of AMERICA. Die scratch running through the upper stem of the right wheat stalk. Reverse Stage B: Only one scratch is now visible to the right of the E of ONE.
