1945 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-025
Error
Description
Strong Class VI extra thickness shows on EPU, the dots, and both wheat ears and stems. Die Markers: Obverse: LDS. A short, horizontal die scratch can be found just under Lincoln’s ear. A die clash mark can be found to the left of the back of Lincoln’s neck. Reverse: A die scratch runs ESE from the lower right P in EPU through the lower L and U. A die scratch runs from WNW to ESE through the upper UNI of UNITED. A short die scratch runs east from the center crossbar of the E in UNITED. A horizontal die scratch runs through the lower D of UNITED and the 1st S in STATES. A parallel die scratch runs below the D and S. A nearly horizontal die scratch can be found below the C of CENT. Two parallel and horizontal die scratches can be found in the lower M of AMERICA.
