Description

P/P SouthDie Markers: Obverse: Old NW/SE die scratches below the LIBE in LIBERTY and in front of the face. Die scratch extends N from the knot of the queue. E/W die scratches in the hair. Two large, widely spaced, die gouges in front of the head right of TRUST. Reverse: Die dent at the rim above the L in PLURIBUS. Feeder finger scrapes right of the M in UNUM. N/S die scratch between the E in EPU and the left roof. Old E/W die scratches overlapping the previous. Old NE/SW die scratch from the S in CENTS to the last O in MONTICELLO.Submitted By: Jim ShriverCross References: CONECA: RPM #68 Obverse: Strong curved die gouge through the 194 in the date. Weak die clash remnant through the chin and queue. Thin NW/SE die scratches between the date and queue. Short, weak die scratch between the chin and the O in GOD. Reverse: Numerous strong, predominately N/S, die scratches throughout the reverse. Upper reverse has crisscrossing die scratches with overlapping NE/SW die scratches at the left and NW/SE die scratches at upper right. Feeder finger scrapes from right roof to rim. Strong E/W die scratch above the MO in MONTICELLO.
