Description

P/P/P South & Northwest Die Markers: Obverse: Die clash through the chin, the knot of the queue, and the back of the head. Strong NW/SE die scratch below the chin. Short die scratches extend NW from the forehead. Many small die gouges in and below the OD in GOD. Small die gouge below the R in TRUST. Reverse: Numerous multi-directional die scratches throughout the upper reverse. The strongest of the scratches are: a WNW/ESE die scratch left of the bottom of the mintmark, a short N/S die scratch below the R in PLURIBUS, a N/S die scratch from the last U in UNUM to the right roof, and a NE/SW die scratch between the M in UNUM and the right roof. Short NE/SW die scratches left of the dome. Thin N/S die scratch from the right side of the C in MONTICELLO to the E in CENTS. Short E/W die scratches in the left arch. Small die gouges between FIVE and UNITED.
