Description

Reverse: Die Markers: Obverse: Serif “S” mint mark. The obverse of this variety is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1944-S 1¢ WDDO-022. An extra eyelid can be found south of the normal eyelid. Two short die scratches below the N of IN and the G of GOD. Die gouge (dot) in the field to the left of the back of the bust. Reverse: Short die gouge inside the lower portion of the first A of AMERICA. Obverse:
