D/D Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge above the 9 in date. Die scratch to the upper right of the N of IN. The obverse of this variety is a doubled die listed in the Wexler files as 1944-D 1¢ WDDO-033 showing an extra eyelid just above the normal eyelid.
