Description
Obverse Stage B: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Feeder finger marks run from SW to NE in the field at the back of the neck. A long die scratch runs NNE from the top of the second 4 in the date. Series of slanted die scratches below Lincoln’s ear. Obverse Stage B: The Stage A feeder finger marks are no longer visible nor is the die scratch from the 4. A die crack runs NNE from the bottom left corner of the bust running through Lincoln’s shoulder and ending near the collar. Obverse Stage C: Same as Stage B. Reverse Stage A: Horizontal die scratch above NE of ONE. A long die scratch runs SSW from the bottom of the 2nd U in PLURIBUS through the N in ONE, to the left of the N in CENT, ending at the top of the D in UNITED. Reverse Stage B: The die scratch from the U in PLURIBUS is no longer visible. Die chip between the second and third kernel of the left wheat stalk.
