Description
D/D Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse: Very long die gouge from the 4 of the date to the 9 of the date to the vest, across the vest, lapel and coat, to the right of VDB. Die gouge between the upper portions of the N of IN and the G of GOD. Die scratch south from the right lower side of the 9 in the date. Tooling marks part way in from the upper front of the collar. Die crack from the upper left side of the lapel running slightly WSW and then turning west. Reverse: The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Files as 1943-D 1¢ WDDR-003. Die crack from the O of ONE through the first U of PLURIBUS to the rim. Die gouge to the right of E of ONE. Obverse:
