Description

Obverse Stage B: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Slanted die scratch to the left of Lincoln’s eye. Circular die scratch pattern on his neck and collar. Several die scratches run NNW/SSE through 43. Parallel die scratches run SE from the R in TRUST. Obverse Stage B: Die crack through the D of VDB running above the B and west to about the center bottom edge of the coat. Reverse Stage A: Very weak die crack from the upper left side of the O in ONE to the lower center of the first U in PLURIBUS. Die gouge below the crossbar of the second T in STATES to the right of the upright of the T. N/S die scratches between the E & N of CENT. Reverse Stage B: Die crack south from rim through B in PLURIBUS. Obverse Stage A:
