Description

D/D Tilted (Rotated) Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Strong rotational die scratches centered at the front of the neck can be found on the bust and in the fields to the left and right of the bust. Several die scratches run from NNW to SSE through and below the 19 in the date. A short, horizontal die gouge can be found below the front of the chin. Obverse Stage B: A die crack runs from west to east through the center rear of the forehead. Obverse Stage C: Stronger die crack through the head. Die scratches at the date are weaker. Reverse Stage A: A short die gouge can be found inside the upper C in CENT. A die crack runs north from the top left of the O in ONE to the bottom of the 1st U in PLURIBUS. Reverse Stage B: The die crack from the O in ONE to the 1st U in PLURIBUS now extends to the rim and is much stronger. A die crack connects the top of the O and N in ONE. Reverse Stage C: New reverse die. A weak die crack runs from the left side of the O in ONE to the L in PLURIBUS. A die scratch runs SW from the upper left of the P in PLURIBUS.
