Description

D/D South Die Markers: Obverse: A strong circular die scratch on the upper portion of Lincoln’s coat. Slanted die gouge to the left of the second T of TRUST. Die crack from the rim at 7:30 running NE through the shoulder. Die crack from above midpoint of the lapel running SSE and then becoming a fork that runs south and east. E/W die crack across the top of the head. Die crack (spike) running north from the top of the head, through the left side of the W in WE and to the rim. Reverse: Die crack from the rim at 11:00 running SSW through the L of PLURIBUS, through the O in ONE and exiting at the left lower side of the O. Die scratch north from the left wheat tip and running under the E of EPU. Die scratch SSW from the lower left of the T in CENT to the A in STATES. Obverse:
