Description
Extra thickness shows on all outer devices. Separation lines show on the upper left and right wheat tips. Die Markers: Obverse: A short die scratch runs through the front of Lincoln’s hair curl. A series of concentric die scratches show inside and in front of Lincoln’s ear. A concentric die scratch shows below the VDB initials. Reverse: A horizontal die gouge runs through the upper crossbar of the E in E PLURIBUS. A series of mostly horizontal die scratches run through the letters RIBUS in PLURIBUS. A series of light diagonal die scratches run through and below the letters UNU of UNUM. Light finger feeder damage shows at the rim right of the upper right wheat stalk at approximately 2 o'clock. Two, parallel die scratches run diagonally to the right of the lower crossbar of the E in ONE. An area of die damage shows runs into the field from the base of the lower left wheat stalk southwest of the O in OF. A series of diagonal die scratches show on either side of the last A in AMERICA. A die crack runs through the outer wheat kernels on the right wheat stalk, right of the last A in AMERICA. Submitted By: John A.
