Description
Moderate Class VI extra thickness shows on most outer devices. Light Class II separation lines show on the left wheat tip. Die Markers: Obverse: A pair of die gouges show on the upper and lower 0 in the date. A strong die gouge runs through Lincoln’s upper hair, south of the letters O and G in GOD. Two parallel die scratches run west from the top of Lincoln’s hair below the letter O in GOD. A series of die scratches run WNW from the letters S and T in TRUST. A die scratch connects Lincoln’s rear shoulder fold with the back of his lapel. Reverse: A long die scratch runs SSW from the lower E in E PLURIBUS. Parallel die scratches run south from the I and B in PLURIBUS. A short die gouge runs west from the first U in UNUM. A die gouge runs NE from the upper O in ONE. Vertical die scratches run between the letters T and E in STATES. A series of mostly horizontal die scratches run between the letters M, E and R in AMERICA.
