Description

=1924-P VAM-13 Doubled Middle Feathers and Rays= Discovered by Jason Henrichsen, March 2010 13 II1 - B2a (Doubled Middle Feathers and Rays) I-3 R-5 Obverse II1 - Slight pitting at date on late die states from die wear and rust. Reverse B2h - Middle of fie doubled on right side of rays above olive leaves to DOL, two top leaves, lower edge of eagle's right leg, middle leg feathers, middle edge of tail feathers and lower edge of wing. Comments: 1. The VAM-13 is easily the strongest doubling yet found for 24-P. Leroy Van Allen's called the VAM-13 a "Nice strong doubled reverse on 1924 P!" and went on to comment "...doubling is pretty strong- a nice doubled die find!" (emphasis in original).
