Description
=1923-P VAM-1Q Die Gouge in Rays Below Tail= Discovered by Jeff Oxman, October 2001. 1Q II 1 · B2a (Die Gouge in Rays Below Tail) I-2 R-5 Reverse B2a– Small horizontal die gouge in rays extending from rear talon to eagle’s tail feathers. Comments: 1. In LVA's desciption of this coin (not above) he indicates: "Crack from right is above gouge all the way to gouge middle. Unusual set of circumstance to have die crack & gouge so near and in the same direction." This coin also has a small die chip on the obverse at the bottom tip of the neck above the "9" in "1923".
