=1923-D VAM-1N Die Break I Obverse, Die Break R Reverse= Discovered by David Close. Revised 2010. 1N(revised) II 1 · B2a (Die Break I Obverse, Die Break R Reverse) I-3 R-6 Obverse II 1– Die crack from L in LIBERTY down to IN with break down to rim. Late die state also shows die chip above I and displaced field break at top right of 1 plus die crack thru middle of Y to right up to rim where it widens slightly for small break. Reverse B2a– Late die state shows diagonal die break thru right leg of R in DOLLAR up to rim with break at rim. Comments: # Die break above R is very similar to VAM 1CO, but is not as high on the rim. Obverse cracks are also totally different.
