Description

1922-P VAM-6A Doubled DOLLAR, Die Break R Discovered in August of 2009 by Jason Henrichsen This coin is a Top 50 Peace Dollar VAM. '''6A II1 - B2d (Doubled DOLLAR, Lower Rays, Die Break R) I-3 R-7''' '''Obverse II1 -''' Radial die crack on right side of R of LIBERTY with slight displaced field break. '''Reverse B2d–''' Doubled bottom of middle olive leaves, left side of top and lower olive leaves, left side of rays below DOL, base of DOLLAR, below middle and right talon, back of leg feathers, and base of E of E PLURIBUS. '''Comments:''' ''' 1.''' With doubling that is nothing short of amazing, the VAM-6 is extremely rare in any grade. The VAM-6/6A also has one of the lowest Mint State populations of any Top 50 coin as well as the strongest reverse doubling of any peace dollar known. (populations have risen and this is not an extremely rare coin except for maybe high unc condition) 2. Radial crack extends into hair and changes angle and crosses at least 3 rays on xf+/au example. occ
