=1921-D VAM-7A Doubled Ear, Left Stars + UNITED STATES= Discovered by Herb Zepke, August 2000 (Desirability: image:star2.gif) 7A IV 6 · D2e (Doubled Left Stars and UNITED STATES, Break Wing Tip) (189) Reverse D2e– Die crack from top of D in UNITED thru wing tip over to S in STATES with die chip on right side of wing tip and displaced field of break on left side of wing tip. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # The VAM-7A variety has a slightly doubled lower right inside ear. Additionally, all of the left stars are doubled toward rim as is the lower edge of top crossbar of both 1s in the date and the first two right stars.
