=1921-D VAM-1DG Scribbling Die Scratches #41 = Discovered September 2007 1DG IV1 - D2a (Scribbling Die Scratches #41) (189) Reverse D2a - Vertical die scratch thru T in STATES TO RIM. Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg and between eagle’s left wing and body. ''Die marker-'' Diagonal line from bottom of O in OF to top right T in TRUST. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Of the 5 known specimens of this VAM (as of Oct 2007), one is an LDS coin (1DG2) with some die cracks and a die gouge/line between the O in OF and the right "t" in "Trust." The other is an EDS coin (1DG1) without the cracks or the noted gouge/line. # Raybob15239 found three uncirculated specimens of this coin in February 2008 in his local B_M shop. # This variety has been found with filled O L of Dollar. Die scratch is still present on filled specimen.
