=1895-O VAM-2 O Tilted Right= Discovered by George Mallis, June 1965. Eliminated December 2024, Duplicate of VAM 1 2 III2 1 - C3b (O Tilted Right) (181) Reverse C3b- Mint mark tilted slightly to the right. DPIS - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # I have examined (4) 1895-O VAM-1 and (6) 1895-O VAM-2. Careful examination has revealed that they are ALL the same die pair. The difference is the VAM-1 has a mintmark that is "centered and upright" and the VAM-2 has a "Mint mark tilted slightly to the right". All examined examples have a TINY tilt to the mintmark that could easily be considered either way.
