=1878-S VAM-47 Engraved Wing Feather= Revised to separate out die pairs, October 2023. Discovered by Pete Bishal, January 1981. 47(revised) II 57 · B2ae (Engraved Wing Feather) (184) Obverse II 57 – Tiny die chip below Phrygian cap fold. Same die as VAM 121. Fourth right star broken. Reverse B2ae – Feather engraved between eagle’s right wing and leg. R in Trust broken. Slightly doubled bottom inside of ITED STATES F and tops of In God We. Later die states show polishing lines in fields. Die marker: Tiny die dig at end of third tail feather from right. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Former VAMs 47.2 and 47.3 became VAM 123 and VAM 124, respectively.
