Description

This 1967-P large medal commemorates the twenty-fifth anniversary of the United States Naval Construction Battalions, universally known as the Seabees. Established in 1942 during World War II, the Seabees — a play on the initials "CB" for Construction Battalion — built airstrips, bridges, roads, and other military infrastructure in combat zones across the Pacific and European theaters.
