Discovery October 2022, Ed Pope Revised May 2024, Gregory Klemkosky 1DO IV 1 • D2a (Gouge on Wreath Leaf, Scribbling Scratches) (?) Obverse IV 1 - ''Die Marker'' - Crack at bottoms of 21 and first right star in late die state. Reverse D2a - Short gouge crossing leaf below top outer berry on left wreath. Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg and between eagle’s left wing and body visible on earlier die stages. ''Die Markers'' - Crack from top right of E in UNITED to denticles above D. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Formerly miscataloged as a second VAM 1DI # Scribbling scratches are not visible on late die stages, but the gouge on the leaf is still clear.
