Reverse D1a ''Die marker'' - Two short horizontal polishing lines in field next to eagle's left leg feathers. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # The lines from the denticles aren't a "one and done" diagnostic for this variety. These are also found on early die stages of MANY D1 reverse VAMs, including 1921-P VAM-1M1 and VAM 19. Be sure to check the doubling specified for VAM 88 as well as scribbles that may indicate other varieties. # VAM 98 was eliminated as a later die stage of VAM 88A
