=1921-P VAM-58 Tripled E PLURIBUS, Clashed Obverse I, Dot Above TE= Discovered by David Close, May 2005. Revised May 2017 by ljs123 58(revised) IV 18 D2m (Tripled E PLURIBUS, Clashed Obverse I, Dot Above TE) (189) Obverse IV 18- Later die than VAM 24B2 with clashed die with initially single diagonal clash line at Liberty head neck and clashed I and faint u. Later die states show two diagonal clash lines and die crack from jaw to neck and faint clashed I and u at lower right hair gap. Reverse D2m - Small raised dot above TE in STATES. Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg, between eagle's left wing and body and in middle of both wings. ''Die marker'' - Dot above TE. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # VAM-3AR eliminated, later die state obv & rev of 58A. # VAM-58A eliminated, incorporated in VAM-58. # VAM-70 eliminated, earlier die state obv & rev of VAM 58A. # VAM-58 is revised. It is an I clash from the 24B2 obverse, not an n clash.
