=1921-P VAM-51A Banner A" Die Break AM AMERICA= Discovered by David Close, February 2005. 51A IV 1 D2k (Doubled Reverse Legend to Coin Center, Die Break AM) Reverse D2k - Die break between AM in AMERICA and heavy die crack to denticles below R in DOLLAR. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Former VAM-3AG has been determined to be same as VAM 51A. VAM-51A has an amazingly shattered die. Check out the full-coin line drawings at the bottom of this page outlining all the different places the die cracked. The most notable feature is a die break / displaced field coming off the A in AMERICA line a flowing banner.
