=1921-P VAM-48 Quadrupled Stars, Wreath Bow Die Gouge, Scribbling Die Scratches = Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, January 2005.. Formerly VAM-1C 48 (revised) IV 38 D1a (Quadrupled Stars, Wreath Bow Die Gouge, Scribbling Die Scratches) (189) Obverse IV 38 - All left and right stars slightly tripled to quadrupled towards rim as are upper crossbar of both 1s and E PLURIBUS. Reverse D1a - Thin vertical die gouge from eagle's tail feathers down through wreath bow. Fine die scratches in various directions on tail feathers around eagle's right leg and between eagle's left wing and body. '' Die marker -'' Vertical die gouge from eagle's tail feathers down thru wreath bow.
