=1921-P VAM-3Y Die Break ES of STATES and Wing Tip= Discovered by C. Logan McKechnie September 2004. 3Y(revised) IV 1 · D2a (Die Break Wing Tip & ES) (189) Reverse D2a– Die crack thru eagle’s right wing tip extending up above first S in STATES and above D in UNITED with displaced field of a break. Die crack thru top of STATES with double crack and break between ES. Fine die scratches in various directions on over-polished tail feathers around eagle's right leg and between eagle's left wing and body. ''Die marker -'' short horizontal die scratch at top right inside of eagle's right leg and short die gouge at top right L in DOLLAR. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # This VAM has a die crack thru eagle’s right wing tip extending up above first S in STATES and above D in UNITED. Late die states have a displaced field from the break forming a retained cud.
