=1921-P VAM-3FD2 Die File Lines at OF & Trust= Discovered By Tracy Duncan August 2009 Renumbered VAM 3FD2, February 2023 3FD2 IV 1 • D2a (Die File Lines at OF & Trust) (189) Reverse D2a - Vertical die file lines thru OF and Trust. Some faint worn scribbles at eagle's right leg. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # It's unclear if this would qualify as a "Feed Fingers Gouge", but it is noted anyway just in case. See the Feed Finger Gouges page for similar varieties. # There is a die chip on the upper inside of the eagle's left leg that is the best diagnostic for late die state coins. # LDS coins will not show polishing lines on the obverse. # An early die stage reverse without the die polishing lines has been listed as 1921-P VAM-3FD1.
