Description
=1921-P VAM-1P Die Gouge F= Discovered by Ron Fischer, November 2006. Revised April 2023 1P IV 1 · D1a (Die Gouge F) (189) Obverse IV 1– Some left stars lightly tripled and E PL. Later die stages show a small chip inside the upper loop of the S in PLURIBUS Reverse D1a – Striated vertical die gouge thru F in OF up to denticles and down to wing edge. Similar to VAM 72A but a little further left and not as broad. Polished band above eagle’s right wing tip. Gouges likely caused by faulty feed fingers.
