Description
=1921-P VAM-19 Tripled and Quadrupled Left Stars= Discovered by Brent Fogelberg, November 2000. Revised July 2022, Brent Fogelberg 19 (revised) IV 13 · D1a (Tripled and Quadrupled Left Stars) (189) Obverse IV 13 – Left stars slightly tripled to quadrupled toward rim. Right stars and motto doubled to triped toward rim. Date slightly tripled toward rim. Top of Phrygian cap doubled. Reverse D1a - ''Die markers'' - Lines in wing-neck gap, lines on eagle's right wing near shoulder. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Early die stages have the same type of spikes from the denticles on the obverse that are seen on VAM 88A. # Initially, this was ''not'' the EDS of VAM 19A. Given the popularity of VAMs 19A and 19B, the original VAM 19 was made 1921-P VAM-127 and VAM 19 was redefined to be the EDS of VAM 19A, which has always been shown on this page.
