=1921-P VAM-104 Tripled Left Stars, Doubled Right Stars, Spiked O= Discovery 2016 by Algot Stephenson Revised July 2022 to include description of former VAM 3FH 104 IV 84 • D2a (Tripled Left Stars, Doubled Right Stars, Spiked O) Obverse IV 84 - Tripled all left stars and doubled all right stars towards rim. Date digits slightly doubled on left side. Reverse D2a - Short die gouge/chip spike at lower right outside of O in ONE. Fine die scratches in various directions on over polished tail feathers around eagle’s right leg, between eagle’s left wing and body, and in middle of eagle's left wing. ''Die Marker'' - Diagonal die scratch at bottom of fifth tail feather from right. DPIS – In 1921 dates were part of the master die so there is no variation in position. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Spiked O is only on later die states (which are far more common than the EDS examples). # Earlier die stages will show scribble scratches formerly cataloged as VAM 3FH.
