Different obverse die than VAM-40A with earlier die state reverse. Reverse - ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: Comments: # Apparently, the VAM-40C was the first die marriage, then it clashed, and then the obverse die was swapped out to create the VAM-40A. Note the difference in date placement between the VAM-40A and VAM-40C. The reverse die is known for the gouges in eagle's eye, and lower left wing.
