Description
=1902-O VAM-31 Near Date, Buffed Libert Head, 2 Olive Reverse= Discovered by Leroy Van Allen, January 1980. Revised 2016 31 III2 3-C4/C3p (Near Date, Buffed Libert Head, 2 Olive Reverse) (181) Obverse III2 3– Very slightly doubled right inside of ear and profile. Some specimens show base of 2 filled in. Three small die gouges between BU of PLURIBUS on EDS. Roughness on Liberty's forehead, check and neck plus some raised vertical bars on neck from excessive buffing during die basining and polishing. Weakness with die wear. ''Die marker'' - Tiny die chip at lower eye front. Reverse C4/C3p - Mint mark set slightly high and tilted slightly to left . Extra olive to right of olive on branch. Doubling on top of olive branch at right of olives.
