1902-O VAM-34 Near Date, 2 Olive Reverse Discovered by Martin Field, July 1982. Revised 2009. '''34 ('''revised''') III2 3 - C4/C3r (Near Date, 2 Olive Reverse) (181)''' '''Obverse -''' '''Reverse C4/C3r''' - III O mint mark set high and tilted left. Extra olive to right of olive connected to olive branch. Doubling on top of olive branch to right of olive, at base of olive leaf clusters, top of upper leaf in bottom olive leaf cluster, tops of arrow feathers, back of lower arrow head, middle feathers in eagle's left wing and right side of eagle's nostril and eye. A few rusted die pits at top of N in ONE and later die state. ;Emission Sequence :Obverse: :Reverse: '''Comments: # Just to help clarify. There are pitted and un-pitted versions of this die marriage. I sent examples of both to Leroy thinking he would assign the pitted version as the VAM-34A, and leave the unpitted version as the VAM-34. This would be consistent with VAMs-17/17A/17B and 18/18A. Leroy declined to list the pitted version as a sub-vam, saying the pitting at the "N" was too minor to warrant a separate designation. Alan Scott
