=1883-O VAM-57 Doubled Ear & 1, Beveled Tail Feather= Discovered February 2008 JV; Revised Feb 2011 57 (revised) III2 30 - C3a (Doubled Ear & 1, Beveled Tail Feather) (181) Obverse III2 30 - 1 slightly doubled below upper crossbar similar to 1883-O VAM-44. Ear doubled at right inside and slightly at bottom of ear lobe. ''Die marker''- Horizontal die scratch on neck. Late die states have radial die crack from rim on right side of right 8. Reverse C3a - Slightly beveled bottom of right tail feathers and part of olive branch from over polished die. Comments: 1. Late die states have radial die crack from rim on right side of right 8 & are called 1883-O VAM-57A. 2. ''Die marker''- Horizontal die scratch near Bust Point. 3. It appears as if This VAM is a later die state of the 1883-O VAM-11.
